I felt the characters confusion, bone-weary exhaustion, anxiety and stress. Like all good psychological thrillers, it was a book that I reacted strongly and viscerally to. As the story delved into chaos and the narrators became more and more unreliable, the book turned darker than I expected, with a murderous glint hovering at its edge.
